We are custom cabinetry, millwork and countertop fabricators and installers. We have over 30 years of experience designing, building and installing from conception to completion for some of the most detailed projects in the region. Most of our work is residential but we are often called in to tackle complex commercial projects as well.

MEET THAD WENDE

At Wende Wood, we strive to build quality products for your home or business.

Owner Thad Wende has over 30 years of experience working with clients to design and execute residential projects from conception to completion. He has attended the IWF = International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Convention Center every show since 1994 walking the show floor for 4 days each show learning the best practices, materials, finishes, hardware, software, machinery and equipment to produce cabinetry the most efficiently and of the highest quality that he can offer.

Thad Wende started out making cabinets out of his dads garage while he was still in high school.

By the time he graduated high school he had taken over 3 of his dads 4 stall garage with woodworking equipment. Soon after he built his first workshop a 36×60 building that he eventually added on to 2 more times as his business and equipment needs grew. Upon his dads passing he built the current facility that houses his company to this day.

When not working you can find Thad volunteering with his local Topeka Chapter of Ducks Unlimited which he has been a member of for years helping with what is needed. He also likes to hunt waterfowl and bow hunt whitetail deer with friends and family, as well as travel with friends and explore areas with their SXS and offroading adventures. Family vacations usually involve rafting, kayaking, ziplining, horseback riding, offroading, hiking in the mountain west in the summer.

We have traveled all over the midwest working for clients and their extended families as referrals are the backbone of our client list and business philosophy. We intend with every job that upon completion you are added to our many “Brand Ambassadors” for our company and its products and services.

We have a small dedicated group of employees that execute projects with some of the latest & greatest equipment along with some of the oldest tried and true pieces in our shop.
